We so-called modern humans walk less than ever. But, my most creative moments come when I’m walking, running or even just moving through terrain, as on a train. Is it change of scenery or rhythmic body movement that is most conducive towards moving the mental machinery? Ferris Jabr of The New Yorker writes, “The way we move our bodies further changes the nature of our thoughts”, but “Where we walk matters as well”.
